"Original half-hour episodes of NBC’s hit half-hour comedy “The Office” will stop being shown after next week.Steve Carell showed solidarity with the striking writers. A publicist for Mr. Carell said he had no comment about the strike.Production on “The Office” was shut down on Tuesday, after the writers, several of whom are also actors on the show, began picketing and Steve Carell, the lead actor, refused to cross picket lines. Only two new episodes are ready for broadcast, so “The Office” will enter repeats after the Nov. 15 episode. "
Could this be true? I found it on another blog and I almost fell out of my seat. What say you?

well i say pay the writers more money! they deserve a cut from the dvds!
aahhh man!!!!
that really sux
They talked about it on GMA this morning - it seems to be true. The writers want a cut from the shows viewed via internet. The piece on GMA showed and interviewed several famous actors and actresses that were picketing along with the writers.
I'm pretty sure it's true, along with all your other favourite tv shows that aren't reality shows. Late night shows, dramas, everything's going to be affected. I did hear rumours on NPR that NBC is looking to buy the rights of the British Office to show in its place while the strike is going on.
so sad!!!! I need my office fix! It is pretty much the only show I look forward to.
I hope this strike is over soon.
BJ Novak (think that's his name)who plays Ryan is one of the main writers for the show, so it makes sense.
Why doesn't NBC step up to the plate and pay these guys? I say- Good for Steve Carrell, way to stick to your guns.
NO!! I am going to be so sad about that. I love Thursday nights for this reason.
this is a truly sad affair. the strike has now hit home. how do we live without the painfully hilarious 'office' each week? oh, the humanity.
I actually heard this from the most reputable news source "E" News. If they say it must be true.
I heard this morning that Steve Carrell is going to be on the Tonight Show tonight - tune in for more info then. Hopefully there is good news around the corner!!
