Lessons Learned From Harry Potter

Well, to be more accurate, lessons learned from going to the 11:59 pm viewing of Harry Potter on the opening day:

1) We're not as young as we once were. A midnight showing and going to bed at 3 am make for a very tired Mom and Dad.

2) Some Harry Potter fans are freaks. We saw folks in full out Gryffindor Quidditch costumes, lots of wizard hats, a gal with a "Weasley is our King" t-shirt and loads of girls in the Hogwarts' school uniforms, minus the capes.

3) Harry Potter really does appeal to everyone. We saw every race and just about every age of people there. Lots and lots of adults. Some alone, some with kids.

The review? AWESOME! We really loved it. Definitely go and see it - you will not be disappointed!!

*And many thanks to Will who helped me keep my "Opening Day/Night Viewing of Harry Potter movies" streak alive and well. I was content to see it sometime soon, but he insisted we keep the streak going.

Welcome back! I'm so glad you updated. I was worried that you were gone forever:)
I've only seen the first two Harry Potter moview and I wasn't impressed (nothing compares to the book). Maybe it's been long enough since I read the book though that the movie would actually be good. I wish I lived closer to you and Robyn (then I could borrow the book 2 days after it comes out...I borrowed Robyn's copy last time for 5 months...I'm a very slow reader)
How's the new pad?

dang!! I can't belive yall are obsessed. I remember I knew nothing about Harry Potter , and opening night of the first movie was a big thing in Provo at the time, and Grant took me with his Handi-cap access pass - and we skipped all the lines. I slept through the whole thing. Man I miss those free movie days.

Your review is right on. I am a HUGE fan of the books, but did not enjoy the first three movies at all and found the fourth movie tolerable at best. But this movie is great. The the quick pace of the movie kept the entire thing interesting, Daniel Radcliffe has learned how to act,and all of the villians---from Umbridge to he-who-must-not-be-blogged---are excellent.
